ANTHEMON I - Large Silk Chrysanthemum Brooch & Hair Flower
ANTHEMON is a large silk chrysanthemum, shaped petal by petal by hand using traditional Somebana flower-making techniques.
The petals are made from 100% silk pongee. Before shaping, the silk is stiffened and then individually formed with heated brass tools, allowing the many narrow petals to keep their curved, sculptural shape while the finished flower remains surprisingly lightweight.
The fastening area is finished with a cotton velvet calyx. The version shown is soft white with a pale yellow centre, but ANTHEMON can also be made in a custom color.

How to Wear
ANTHEMON can be worn as a statement flower on a blazer, jacket or dress, as a large silk hair flower, or as an alternative bridal accessory with a simple dress or tailored wedding suit.
Its sculptural shape also makes it wearable beyond bridal styling — for celebrations, portraits, evening dressing or simply with a favourite jacket.
Custom Color
Choose Custom if you would like ANTHEMON made in another color. You can send me a photograph, fabric swatch or other color reference after ordering. Because the silk is dyed and shaped by hand, slight tonal variation is a natural part of the process.
Care
Do not wash, iron or dry clean. Keep the flower away from water, rain, perfume and hairspray. Store it in its box without crushing the petals.

ANTHEMON arrives carefully packed in a protective box. Its lightweight construction and choice of brooch, hair or magnetic fastening also make it suitable as a distinctive gift for someone who wears unusual textile or floral accessories.
